Vern,

In discussing the PDM option, in RSE if you'll drill down
Window\Preferences\Remote Systems\iSeries\Command Execution, notice under
Compile Preferences a check box for 'replace object'. I thought that this
would behave similar to the PDM option, but for whatever reason it does not.

Hi Jeff

CrtPF does not have a REPLACE parameter - PDM does that behind the
covers - one of the beauties of the PNLGRP processing of those screens.

Buzz,

Right click on the source member, select compile, and then "work with
Compile commands". From there, I usually copy the compile command, then
just add whatever keywords to the command. Then I give it name like -
CrtPF - Replace or something like that.

[WDSCI-L] Using CRTPF Command in RSE

This may be lame, but here goes ? in SEU one can change the user defaults
to
replace an object (while using compile commands). While in RSE executing
program re-compiles there?s no problem. Not so when wanting to re-compile
a
PF. Get thrown an error (CPF5813) because the file already exists. The
replace object option in the preferences area under iSeries Command
Execution is checked off. What else should I look at?
