Jeff, I have notice this as well and havent found a fix either. The way I keep from changing attributes is by clicking the src or status fields which arent editable. You can also rearrange the columns to keep changable columns out of harms way but this isnt a good feature in my opinion as well. Don Nitke ---------------------------------------- From: Jeff Buening <JeffBuening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, January 25, 2007 1:48 PM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] I Series Table View Issue I noticed when using the I Series table view to view all the members in our Test source library(or anything you want to view), that it is very easy to accidentally rename the program name, attributes, type and so forth. I just clicked inside the table view on a program name and started typing thinking it would bring up the search, instead I was typing a new name for a program. I clicked off the name thinking that WDSC would not allow me to change a name that easily, but found out that I had actual changed the name. I know it is suppose to be a GUI interface and I am all for that since I am younger and less experienced with green screen, but being able to rename something shouldn't be that easy. Do we have a setting that is incorrect or is it just that easy to change a program name in WDSC? It is easier to accidentally change a program name in WDSC I Series table view than renaming something on my windows desktop. At least on your desktop you have to right click and select Rename. Thanks, Jeff
