Hi David,

iSeries projects is tightly linked to the i5/OS QSYS files system (we have
an open requirement to add IFS support). One alternative would be to
create a plain workspace project (File > New > Other then Simple >
Project) and then either copy / paste files from your iSeries connection
to the project or use the workbench's Remote File System import / export
wizards (you can save the information for the import / export to a
workspace file so it can easily be re-run).

The obvious downside to this approach is that it doesn't do any timestamp
comparisons like iSeries projects do.

[WDSCI-L] Working with IFS files offline

The machine tthat stores all our PC files and documents will be down today
for maintenance.
Why can't I just click right on a file or folder and import it to my
project ?
I can do this with any source file member RPG, CLP etc

If this isn't possible how do I work offline with the PC files.
