I am not sure if there is a WDSC forum at IBM, but you could try that as well.

I am not saying you can't get an answer to your question here but this is the first time in my recollection that a plugin development question has been posted here. Perhaps you are just breaking new ground!

Hopefully, someone from the IBM WDSC team will come across this thread and point you in the right direction. The support on the use of WDSC and fixing bugs in WDSC has been excellent here however, so you never know....

Hi Pete,

i don`t think that i get answerts when i post my question in the
Eclipse forums. The people there are familar with eclipse plugin-
programming. But with WDSC plugin-programming with extending the
RSE? I don`t believe. But i will try it. Perhaps i have a little
bit luck.

Thanks

Frank

systems"

Frank,

I can't say for sure but I am not sure you'll get an answer to that
question since it deals with programmatically modifying WDSC rather than
using it for developing applications. Your question is more of a plugin
development question. Although some very bright and helpful IBM WDSC
developers monitor the list, I am not sure this will be the correct forum.

Actually, developing WDSC plugins (Eclipse plugins) is something I have
started to do as well but I have been asking questions over on the
Eclipse forums rather than here. That said, you may get an answer here
(if so, I may ask my own plugin questions here as well!). There are
some guys from Softlanding, a developer WDSC plugins, who might be on
this list as well who might be able to help.

Anyone else know where to find answers about plugin development for WDSC
or is Frank in the right spot?

Hello together,

i have the following problem. I have created a subsystem factory for the
remote system explorer. In the tree viewer of the RSE my subsystem factory
appears correctly with all the definied filters and resources.
When i open the popup menu in the RSE for a filter of my subsystem and
select
the menu item "Show in table" then the view "Details for remote systems"
will be opened and all resources of the filter will be display in the
table
viewer
of the view "Details for remore systems". Now i want be able to delete a
resource. Therefore i have extended the class AbstractSystemViewAdapter
and override the methods showDelete, canDelete and doDelete. When
i now right click the mouse on a resource of my subsystem factory in the
RSE tree viewer or the "Details for remote systems" table viewer the
popup menu appears with the enabled menu item "Delete". When i now
select the "Delete" menu item the resource will be deleted. To this point
everything is working fine. The problem is. After deleting a resource only
the RSE tree viewer will be refreshed immediately. The "Details for remote
systems"
table viewer will not be refreshed after deleting a resource. When i click
the refresh button in the menu bar of the 'Details for remote systems"
then the view will be refreshed and the deleted resources disappear. What
i want is the following. When i delete a resource the table viewer
"Details for remote systems" shall also be immediately refreshed in
the way it works with the RSE tree viewer. How can i do this?

Thanks in advance.

Frank Hildebrandt
