The Remote Systems preference page can control this.  There is a checkbox to 
restore the lists from cache.  If you de-select this then it connects when the 
workbench restarts and gets live data.  

That's what I did.  I don't save my password in websphere, so I am now prompted 
when I open the tool.  But it works. 

This actually was driving me crazy for a while.. :)

Is there a way to have the source file list in RSE to refresh based on
the source file on the system?  I have tried using the rebuild workspace
& everything else I know to throw at it...the only way I can get this
syncronized is to right click on the source file & select refresh.
