Regarding my issue with the STRRSESVR Errors, The suggestion below did
solve the problem so thanks. I went into Control Panel/Windows Firewall
and added an exception from port 4300. Now I have another question. If
I run commands that produce a display output like, RUNSQLSTM or
WRKACTJOB can I see the output in WDSC from the run of the command?
Thanks again. I'm just a beginner at WDSC. Any other advice for
beginners would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ann,

Is the IP address in "remote location (ip address)" the correct TCP/IP
address of your PC? If it is, then the most common reason for this
error is that some firewall software on your PC is blocking the incoming
socket connection from the iSeries to the PC (Windows XP SP2, zonelabs,
norton internet security, etc...) You would need to configure a
firewall rule to allow the connection from your iSeries to the PC on
port 4300.
