There is a PTF which eliminates the generation of spooled files when
searching:

 R520 SI12950
 R530 SI14630

This has also been previously discussed (you can check the archives)

The majority of these spooled files are probably from searches, Shannon.

initial comment would be to direct them to a specific output queue and

clear

them periodically.
