What I prefer to do with SQL is to create the object as a *MODULE, then use the
CRTPGM cmd to create the *PGM object.
For Non-SQL, if you do not want to create a *MODULE, just specify the binding
directory on the CRTBNDRPG command.
The CRTRPGMOD command has no provision for a binding directory as it is not
needed to create a module.
If you use the CRTPGM command, specify the binding directory there and you will
have no problems.

OK. I apologize in advance. This has got to be obvious - but it's not...
I have the following three Compile commands available to me.

CRTSQLRPGI
CRTBNDRPG
CRTRPGMOD

At this point, if I use CRTSQLRPGI, it compiles both the module and the
program. What is the best way to get from where I'm at to where you are
recommending?

Dave

You could just make it part of your default compile / crtpgm command.
If the program does not need any proceedures from there, it will be
ignored.

OK, I'll try that again. I think I did this back a few months/years, and
had a problem of some kind and changed to putting into the program
instead of the module. Don't remember what the problem was, but guess
there's no time like the present to find it out again... <ouch>

How do I do the same thing in WDSCi? Not all my programs need this. Is

there a way to do it for whenever I compile THIS *PGM and not for
others (unless requested)?

You could use the BNDDIR header option to always include the specified
binding directories when you compile the program.
