Jim,
When I view the spool file in green screen there is no space between
lines, I can see the line numbers clearly that there is no space between
the lines but the I see spaces when I view in RSE. My spool files are
generated from COBOL programs. I am sure we need to make some changes
there. Since it is softlanding product I am not sure if there is somebody
I can report the problem.

It is an open source product:

The RSE Extensions do not really produce the spooled file ourselves. We
simply run some code that IBM provides in the JT400 library. All we do is
hook up the UI and save the bytes to a file. I do not think IBM would
consider this a bug as I do not believe they intend to be producing a
perfect view of a spooled file.

Our goal in writing the RSE Extensions and the spooled file support was to
provide developers to easy access to things like job logs and compile
listings. The output that the IBM API provides is "good enough" for these
purposes. The architecture of the plug-in makes it easy if someone wants to
come along and provide some code that produces a perfect representation of
the spooled file in text, PDF or Word. There are commercial products that
do this sort of stuff, so it must be technically possible to do. Someone
just has to be willing to do it and contribute the code to the project under
the open source license.
