Hey Bruce,

I see I'm a little late on this one, but you are correct: Split views are
only enabled for the iSeries parsers.
I believe this was previously discussed, so you should check the archives
too.

I have opened a requirement to enable split view on all member types.

thanks,

Adrian:

<snip>
All file types opened in the Remote Systems LPEX Editor seem to me to be
enabled for multiple views in the latest updates. In any case, the
following
incantation from the LPEX command line may do it:

  splitWindow on
  openNewView

</snip>

I tried your suggestion to no avail. However, when all else fails, RTFM.
I
checked HELP and (unlike most attempts) I actually found something
useful.
Instead of "splitWindow on", I used "set multipleViews on", followed by
"openNewView"...and it worked!

CTRL-2 doesn't work in this instance (I hope this can be added to the
enhancements list if feasible), but as long as I have a way to do it, I
don't care how. I don't edit REXX source very often, so it's no big
deal.

Thanks for your help...it put me on the right track,
