Careful, if you activate action closeView in the primary view (main - i.e., leftmost / top window), it will close the entire edit part (all the split views)... That's why the action is not available in the popup's "View" submenu of the primary view.

Just for future reference for all those view-splitters out there - there is also an undocumented 'closeView'. I'll let you figure out what it does :)
