Don, It looks like I made a wrong assumption. When I right click on the filter for spool files, I see two options to "Show in Table". I know that the first one in the list was created by SoftLanding, and the 2nd the default that works in a way that I don't like. I was assuming that was IBM programming to look at spool files, but - I was wrong. Sorry - but not the first time this year I have made a mistake! - (Might 4 or 5 on the year ;^) ) Jim On 11/10/06, Michael Rosinger <mrosinger@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:

Mark from SoftLanding chimed in to point out that I need an optional product installed on the iSeries for it to work. I haven't had time to do that yet but will soon. But, you say that "IBM has a way of doing that too...". How? I opened a PMR for my problem, and the IBM support person told me that there wasn't a "native" way to view spooled output in WDSC and referred me to SoftLanding to resolve the problem. You have to have some advanced version. Would you please explain how you are able to view spooled output in WDSC "the IBM way"? P.S. I know that I can open spooled output in an editor window, but I don't like that as it displays a blank line after every print line and does not paginate reports correctly. -- Regards, Michael Rosinger Systems Programmer / DBA Computer Credit, Inc. 640 West Fourth Street Winston-Salem, NC 27101 336-761-1524 m rosinger at cciws dot com -- This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
