I can't add a folder to the IFS from the RSE view. When I enter the name
of
the new folder or file I get the message error creating folder, or error
in
name of file / access refused. I've created a folder on the root '/D1' with the green screen and added
2 folders.
In RSE I can see D1 with a + to the left. When I try to expand D1, the +
disappears and no folder is visible. The same is true for most folders,
but
I can view them from the green screen with option 5. Some folders
however, I
can expand with RSE. Must be a problem with object authority but the authority level for
*PUBLIC is *RWX. Check for a *AUTL named QPWFSERVER. You have to have *USE authority on that *AUTL in order to access the IFS via the host server interfaces. I think the default *PUBLIC authority is *USE but there is a very common security practice of changing this to *EXCLUDE so that users cannot browse the IFS via My Network Places on their Windows PC.
