From: Dean, Robert If IBM holds to past precedence, they may include the EGL tooling in WDSC Advanced because it was part of the previous offering. This is the same logic upon which WDSC Advanced customers who got it when 5722WDS came in two editions can continue to upgrade as long as their maintenance agreement is current, while new AE customers have to buy licenses through Passport Advantage. Even if they don't do this, I don't consider it a death knell. The one good thing about unbundling is that it would make those components available to WDSC standard edition customers.
I don't understand this point: EGL is ALREADY available to WDSC standard edition customers. Unbundling takes it away from them. Joe
