Hi Aaron,
So for all you who want a linux version, do you use linux as your primary OS for work? Or is it more a hobby interest. How do you gain access to things that ONLY work on Windows - do you use VMWare or something?
Other than iSeries Navigator and WDSC, what is there that only works in Windows?
Microsoft Office only works in Windows, but Open Office works a nice alternative. Internet Explorer only works in Windows, but Firefox works as a (superior!) alternative.
So what only works in Windows? The main thing that I've found (aside from software for the System i platform published by IBM) is video games. Lots of video games aren't available for non-Windows systems..
FWIW, I don't actually use Linux (very often), but FreeBSD instead. FreeBSD is another free (open source) Unix-like operating system for the PC. But, by and large they run the same software.
