Aaron,

Maybe you could give me more details of the problem you encounter for
debugger.

Is your program OPM or ILE? Which iSeries OS version you are using, and
which WDSC version you are using?

If the application you want to debug is ILE, you could use service entry
point to invoke the debug session. Just right click on the program or
service program in the RSE, and choose Debug (Service Entry) -> Set Service
Entry Point. Once the service entry point is set, invoke your program as
you usually do. A debug session should come up and with your program under
debug.

If that does not work, please let me know.

Thanks,

Every new major release I try the debugging in WDSC and every release I go
back to green screen STRDBG because WDSC debug usually doesn't work out (I
know that is an encompassing statement without details, but it just never
easier for me). I am guessing the problem has to do with the way the
iSeries machines I am working on are setup.

Venturing into a statement I am not knowing how to say but will say it
anyways: Why can't everything required for WDSC (i.e. necessary PTF's) be
included with the base compilers and stuff? So it isn't really an option
to
NOT have WDSC functionality on an iSeries if you already have the compilers
installed. That's what I would like.

I can't recall not being able to access variables on the green.
