Joe: <snip> Actually, IIRC Bruce all you do is put in the original disks (not the optional software disks) and begin the install process, and it will ask you about additional components. </snip> Thanks...I'll give that a try. Darrell: <snip> What's EGL? </snip> EGL is "Enterprise Generation Language". It is a 4GL used to generate business applications. It is supposed to allow you to "paint" the application more than write code. There is code to write, but less actual writing and more tweaking of generated code from the "paint" process. It looks quite promising, which is why I want to play with it. It comes free with WDSc, but most people don't install it (it is an additional feature). IBM plans on making it Open Source next year, probably with a name change as well. There is a day-long conference in Lake Geneva, WI, today, part of which is devoted to getting people started in EGL. I am kicking myself for not signing up, but that was only because I didn't know enough about whether to learn more until last night...Oh well... There are probably several people on this list already using it who can explain much more. I saw enough in an hour to pique my curiosity. --Bruce Guetzkow
