I was a bit hasty last night in my belief that had corrected it... To recap - I dragged the Technology Preview (within IBM Rational) from the start menu of the admin profile to the 'All Users' Start Menu (again within IBM Rational) and as I said last night - that seemed to have done it. All looked ok when I signed on as another user. However, I never actually invoked it and when I tried to today, a message comes up "Problem with shortcut - Parameter is incorrect" This is the message on my XP machine anyway and a similar message comes from the Windows 2000 machines I was trying to set up today. The work around I have got working is to install the update to RPU, RWD and WDSc 601 (latest update only i.e. not WDSc Lite part) as the Administrator. Then I sign on as the user who intends to use WDSc Lite and install that using their user id and all is ok. This works ok but seems a bit impractical for lots of PC's. Perhaps there is a PC trick I am missing? The html documentation says to install the updates as Administrator. Anyone have any further thoughts... Could the icon just be on the start menu for the Admin user? In the Admin user, just move the icon over to the all users menu. I was signed on as the Administrator and all components were working. However after logging off the administrator and on as the user of the pc, the WDSc Lite technology preview has disappeared when trying to invoke it via Start>Programs>IBM Rational>??? Why is this and how can I correct it. Any ideas?
