Li,

I would second Joe's suggestion of having a way to view global
variables. I really like the debugger but it is very frustrating when I
am in a subprocedure and need to refer back to a global value but it's
missing from the variables window. I find myself adding a lot of
variables to the monitors view to get around the problem.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Subroutine Variables in Debug

This is current design. It happens for the subroutine in
main procedure.
Variables view displays the local variables in current scope.
Subroutine does not define local variables. Instead of
showing nothing, debugger displays the local variables of the
enclosing subprocedure. However, the subroutine in main
procudure is processed differently and no variable is displayed.

There is inconsistent behavior here, for subroutine in main
procedure and other subprocesures. We definitely welcome
community's feedback for the behavior.
