I must have missed the original email.  What bug?
I noticed that it only positions by the first character.  So if I position 
to CLN it still positions to the first C record (CHECKRD) in the following 
member list:
...
BOM240NOTE
CHECKRD
CHKDOMJOBS
CINDY
CLN400MAIL
...
