Dear all, I recently encountered response problem using LPEX editor in WDSc V5.1.2.6. Editing a line and press enter takes me about 5-6 seconds and I realised the CPU was drained(PC task manager shows that) during that. IBM feedback there could be LPEX parsing bug causing that; I tried disable the LPEX parse; yes it did help, everything back to normal. The IBM feedback; asking me to try out WDSc 6.0 cause the parsing problem has been resolved. Now my questions here; we are on i550 V5R3 WAS 5.1 Express. 1. Does upgrading my WDSc from V5.1.2.6 to V6.0 required me to upgrade my i550? 2. Can I upgrade my WDSc without touching my WAS on iSeries? 3. Where can I find the list of PTFs required should I am running WAS 5.1 Express and WDSc 6.0? I have sitting here the 6.0 Websphere Application Server Express. I would like to upgrade the iSeries and my XP client software to version 6.0. Currently on our iSeries we have no applications to migrate because so far I have just been using the Client software to do some RPG and DDS coding. In the 6.0 package and there was no printed material on where to start reading and I didn't really get a chance yet to dig into the CDs yet. My question that I have is should I uninstall WAS on the iSeries and XP machine or will the 6.0 upgrade everything cleaning if left in place? Like I stated before I have no WAS apps to migrate at this point. Fred Horvat horvat@xxxxxxxx 216-426-5692
