I'll reply to my own. If anybody is interested my problem is to do with
the workspace. After ready some help text (as painful as it is) I
decided to make a better workspace. Actually, I search for the
workspace on my C drive instead of using the one created on the server
(our windows server) that was set up by one of our tech (bless her
heart). That one was giving me trouble. I'm fine now. :")

Is there something else that I should/can do for the library list to
stay? I'm putting it in via the iSeries Object subsystem and the
Properties dialog window, then clicking on Initial Library List. I then
enter all the initial Libraries that I want clicking the Add button on
each of them until I have them all on the library list. I then click
ok, end the WDSC, wait a minute and reload WDSC. After it is loaded I
look at the library list. The libraries I put in are not there. I look
at the list I created. It is empty.

My problem is that my library list that I put in just does nothing. And
after I re-connect the list that I created is gone also.

Bill,

If you just add the library into the library list of your current
connection, and then use a STRRSESVR command to associate a 5250 session
to
your connection, the newly added library will NOT added to that 5250
session.

But if you add the library to the library list through the properties
dialog (like what I described in my previous note), re-connect the
connection, then use a STRRSESVR command to associate a 5250 session
with
the newly connected connection, the library will be added to the 5250
session library list.

Thanks,

Xuan,

Ok, so it's not normal for that library list to just vanish. I wonder
what's wrong with the way I'm doing it.

You could right click on the iSeries Object subsystem in your
connection,
and choose Properties to bring up the Properties dialog. Then click on
Initial Library List. In the Initial List List page, enter the library
you
want to add, and then click Add button to put that library into the
library
list.

You need to re-connect for it to take effect.

We are new to RSE and currently I am trying to run a program
interactively
through a 5250 session in which I have issued the STRRSESVR command.

Does anyone know a way to change the library list that will be used in
the
5250 session when I run the program through RSE.

I have changed the library list in my connection, but the library that I
have added does not appear in the library list in the 5250 session when
I
run the program.

Any help in this area would be appreciated. Thanks.
