Violaine, If I may add to the ctrl-space wish list, after pressing crtl-space (which should always bring up a prototyped description - even if in a /COPY member!), crtl-enter (or some other combination) should allow copying the prototype stub / outline into the source code. So, if I have a prototype with 10 parms, the editor should create a stub with positions for all 10 parms. If I have specified "variables" on the prototype, they should be copied as well. If this functionality is already in there, please tell me how to access it. Thanks. -mark Original Message: ----------------- From: Violaine Batthish batthish@xxxxxxxxxx Date: Mon, 17 Apr 2006 08:49:31 -0400 To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Enhancement requests Ctrl Space Hi Marco, I have heard this request before, but I couldn't find it on our list of feedback items. So I've added it for consideration for future enhancements. thanks, Violaine Batthish WebSphere Development Studio Client, IBM Toronto Lab You know you've achieved perfection in design, not when you have nothing more to add, but when you have nothing more to take away. - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 03/04/2006 05:01:57 AM: > I use a lot ctrl + space and I find it really helpfull but it can be more > effective if I can add an hint to functions, parameters and (why not) > variables. > > Just an example, this function define the offsets: > > d Afp_DefineOffset... > d pr > d Hoffset 10i 0 const > d Voffset 10i 0 const > > Would be nice to have something like: > > d Afp_DefineOffset... hint('Define offeset in current page') > d pr > d Hoffset 10i 0 const hint('Hor. offset') > d Voffset 10i 0 const hint('Ver. offset') > > So when I use ctrl + shift i can also have a brief description of the > function and the parameters.
