If the debugger doesn't work, the best way is to reinstall the CODE & 
VARPG (
debugger will be installed automaticly).

Or, you can add a message-subfile to the project, and display your own 
trace (like
the value of rariables) into it so that you know what's going on. You can 
simply
display 1, 2, 3...etc,  until you find the line. 

Most VARPG developers don't use this list. They use another VARPG forum 
and you can
find it by going to the following page,

"VisualAge RPG Newsgroup" is listed near the bottom of the page.

Thanks for your reply.  I'm having trouble getting the debugger to run, 
though.  It reports "Could not connect to the debug engine. Check that the 
debugger backend is on your machine."  What do I need to check for this? I 
believe that the port, 3001, is open on my machine, but I may need to 
confirm that with our Corporate Security.  I don't know what else to look 
for.
