Rick, Current version of WDSC, running against a V5R4 machine D myRandNum s 10i 0 D A S 5I 0 C/exec sql C+ values (rand() * 1000) into :myRandNum C/end-exec C EVAL A=1+1 /free *inlr=*on; return; /end-free Becomes: D myRandNum s 10i 0 D A S 5I 0 /FREE exec sql values (rand() * 1000) into :myRandNum; A=1+1; /END-FREE /free *inlr=*on; return; /end-free No problem. Even converted the sql into free format. Only thing that could have been better is that if it detected an /end-free immediately followed by a /free to eliminate them both. The above would then become D myRandNum s 10i 0 D A S 5I 0 /FREE exec sql values (rand() * 1000) into :myRandNum; A=1+1; *inlr=*on; return; /end-free Rob Berendt
