Hello,

We have recently started using WDSC/RSE instead of SEU and last week came
across an issue with the verify function.

In many of our field names we have the "£" character. When verifying these
source members the error list shows error RNF0289 ENTRY CONTAINS DATA THAT IS
NOT VALID (Severity 20 error).

In the outline viewer the field shows against the file as QA$RPI (Should be
QA£RPI) and in the field list the field shows as just Q@.

The program compiles without problem (No errors > 0 severity) and verifies in
CODE without problems.

Has anybody come across away of getting round this error? I have search the
archive and found one reference to £ not being a valid character for field
names but this is used throughout our systems so would not be feasible to
change all field names. I have also search the IBM site without success
although may be information there I have not come across. I have also tried
changing preferences and localization settings on my pc but still get the same
error.

Our version of RSE is 6.0.1.1.

Any ideas appreciated.

Paul.
