Don't forget about F16 to repeat last find string (in edit and browse
modes).

Thanks, Matt

Also, for those who haven't shaken the PDM habits F14 will display the
same replace prompt if you are editing and a find only prompt if you are
browsing a source member.

Try Ctrl-F.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Search and Replace

Is there a tried and trusted method to perform a scan and replace on an
ISeries Project source member that you are editing?

At the moment I seem to have to:
1) click the "Search" button
2) manually change the "*.RPGLE" search pattern to the name of my source
member
3) Change the scope from "Workspace" to "Selected Resources"

It is all a bit longwinded compared to F14 in SEU !

On a more worrying note, I have done mass Searches to Replace code and
ended up with meaningless junk in the resulting source member. This has
happened on several occasions and caused me to revert to a previous
version of the source in order to recover the situation. This is very
worrying and causes one to lose confidence in the veracity of the IDE.
I haven't noticed a pattern, but it seems to be if I click the "Replace
All In File" button instead of the "Replace All"
