Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] WDSC, refresh pack V6.0.1 and WDSC Advanced Edition,
refresh pack V6.0.1 Announced

Hopefully I can provide some clarity, or at least not confuse the issue
anymore :)

- WDSc 6.0.1 pre-reqs Rational Web Developer 6.0.1 (remember that WDSc
includes inside of it Rational Web Developer). RWD 6.0.1 is already
available via the Rational Product Updater. If you want to get a
headstart then install RWD 6.0.1 today so you won't need to do this when
WDSc 6.0.1 comes out.

- The total size of WDSc 6.0.1 if you include RWD 6.0.1 is > 1 Gig. Most
of that is from RWD 6.0.1.

- WDSc 6.0.1 will be available electronically (via the Rational Product
Updater) on February 14th.

- Sometime shortly after Feb 14th we will make the update available as an
separate download and as an iSeries PTF. We are making the update
available as an iSeries PTF so you can order the PTF and get the CD(s)
shipped to you. When you apply the PTF it will just copy the update image
to the IFS. You can then install the update from the IFS.

- Any other mention of CDs in the announcement was probably referring to
6.0. If you don't already have 6.0 then you first need to order those CDs
via your business partner using the refresh codes for 5722-WDS.

Hope this helps a bit.

Do you have any idea of what size the update will be?

6.0.1 will be delivered via Update manager, in the same way 6.0.0.x
service of WDSC
I do not believe there will be any CDs.

I am told there will be an FTD download version, but it will not be
available until later. I will post once it is available.

Hope this clarifies things.
