I have experienced the same thing during an edit of DDS file. I have found that it begins with some kind of an error message and then after I continue editing the source, it begins to get worse. Then if I close WDSc and try to start up again, I get the message that the workspace is already in use. At that point I am forced to log off the PC and log back on, then reset any customizing I have done with the various windows. I just discovered this week that if I see the initial error message, if I save the source and close it immediately, when I open it back up I can edit it with no problems. I can't remember what the error message was, but I do know it didn't seem like it was accurate. The other thing I noticed is that any new lines I have created in the DDS do not get sequence numbers. That's another clue to close it immediately. I also was in the iSeries Project perspective when all of this happened. -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lilja, Bertil Sent: Wednesday, January 25, 2006 5:30 AM To: Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Subject: [WDSCI-L] Outline "freaks out" when editing DDS Hi Anyone noticed the same? WDSC 6.0 When I, in iSeries Project perspective edit a DDS-source, after a while the outline starts flickering and really "freaks out" and after a while the PC is locked and memory resources are exhausted so I must restart the PC or kill the javaw process that WDSC ran in. I remember that a while a go some similar problem occurred with RPG-sources when editing them in LPEX and remote server perspective. Then I temporary solved it, disabling the automatic update of the outline and doing a manual refresh. I've forgotten how I did, any suggestions?
