Jon, Xuan,

thanks a lot for your help.

I waited with the reply till I upgraded to 6.0.0.1.
Unfortunately upgrade to WDSC 6.0.0.1 did not improve the matters. I
still get the same error ("Communications error") while
trying to debug a program by using a service entry point.

I did "Verify Connection" in WDSC and I am a bit puzzled.
In the window displaying the results of the connection verification , at
the end of the rows displaying "Checking PTFs -> WDSC" and "Checking PTFs
-> WDSC ->Remote System Explorer" i have "Product missing" although all
the other "branches" show "found" or "successful" at the end of their
rows.

Does it mean that I have some PTF missing for Remote System Explorer ?

BTW. the row with "iSeries Integrated Debugger" shows "successful" at the
end.

Again, anybody has any suggestions what can be wrong ?

Thanks in advance,
Radek Pilski
