I have no clear idea how easily it could be done within WDSC. In case someone 
wants to try, I put a simple *CMD and CPP to syntax-check an SQL statement into:

It's set for 512-byte max length strings, but the source can be changed. If 
nothing else, it's an example of a start on the problem.
