Mike,

Why not try the LPEX editor in the RSE perspective now? Basically, Code400
is going away as all it's features have been absorbed into LPEX. And get
ready: Eventually the same thing will happen to Code Designer.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Lost My CODE/400

I was recently given a new machine with 2 gig of memory so that I could get
WDSC 6.0 installed. As part of preparation I tried starting CODE400 through
a normal Client Access session on the new machine. Didn't work! I broke out
into a cold sweat. To cut a long and sad story short, the PC gurus loaded a
ghost image of my previous machine onto the new machine. At the same time we
also connected my old machine to the netwrok, and after logging on was able
to start Code400 (STRCODE) using the *PRV parameter options. However I
haven't been able to STRCODE via a Clent Access session on my new PC.

Naturally, the IP addresses are different, but even when I set the IP
address of the new machine into RMTLOCNAME parameter ( or to *RESOLVE)
STRCODE still hangs.

I saw in another post that Victoria Batthish from the Toronto Lab was able
to solve a similar question by being given the Job Log.

The Communications Daemon was running on my PC.

I waited about 60 seconds and terminted the STRCODE, and have cut and pasted
the job log.

Here is my Job Log from the on-line session where I am trying to STRCODE on
the new machine. If she is lurking on this site please help! Going back to
PDM is like using punched cards!
