Hi Sam,

IRC you need a file called 'httpProxy.properties' in the directory
'C:\Programme\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\updater\eclipse\configuration'. Your
location may differ.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Unable to update IBM Rational Product Updater 6.0.1

Installed 6.0 at home a couple of months ago from the DVD. Decided tonight
to check/get the latest updates.

I click Help/Software Updates/IBM Rational Product Updater.

It shows me I'm at IBM Rational Web Developer 6.0.0.1, Interim Fix 6.0.0.1
and IBM WDSC for iSseries 6.0.0, Interim fixes 6.0.0.1 installed.

I click Find Updates and it tell me "There are required updates for the
Product Updater: IBM Rational Product Updater 6.0.1. It is necessary to
install these updates and restart before continuing."

I click OK and it says "Applying Updates".
In less than 15 seconds it stops and I see these messages at the top of the
screen:
Unable to complete action for feature "IBM Rational Product Updater 6.0.1"
due to errors.

Unable to retrieve remote reference
"http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/rationalsdp/updater/60/upda
te/features/com.ibm.orca.product.updater_6.0.1.0h.jar". [No route to host:
connect]

No route to host: connect

Is maybe the site down? (Though I retried several time over a 45 minute
period.)

I'm running over a cable modem (Comcast) and I stopped my firewall (Zone
Alarm). Don't believe I have any proxy issues.

Anyone else run into this? Have a solution?

Thanks, Sam
