Please note, Rob, that this is part of the iSeries Application Innovation program. This is a HUGE effort on IBM's part to get ISVs to develop applications for the iSeries. They're giving away literally tens of thousands of dollars worth of education to ISVs to help them get their applications up to date, taking advantage of all the latest technologies. I'm taking advantage of this program myself, and I'll be writing about it over the coming months in my Weaving WebSphere column on MCPress Online. So far, the program shows a lot of promise, at least for those of us who recognize the value of the box. And while these education discounts aren't directly available to end users, it's still in the best interests of the entire iSeries community that this program flourishes. As it turns out, the entry price point for the iSeries is getting to be comparable to the entry point for a Microsoft developer. Add in all the free education and hopefully developers will start to take a look at the iSeries again. We'll see. Joe
