WDSC 6 Console output problem -- WDSCI-L

After turning on Global Security in the Admin Console of a WAS 6 test 
server, I no longer get any output to the console.  This is a documented 
problem with RAD 6, but the fix doesn't seem to work. 

This link describes the problem exactly, but the fix errors out when 
trying to install. It says "Error occured during upload."

Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestions?
