I always had to run compiles interactively instead of submitting to compile.
That worked. As far as I could get from IBM, there is no provision to get back
anything if submitted to batch *EVENTF or not. Just tell WDSCI to run compiles
interactively instead of submitting to batch.

Which perspective are you using? Are you using the LPEX editor or
CODE/400?

You should be able to find the compile listing in your spooled files. Is
it
not there, either?

The list of compile errors should pop up in its own view (or window)...the
iSeries Error List view. This view looks like a spreadsheet. If you have no
errors, it will be empty. If you have errors, double-click on the error message
and it will take you to the place in your code where the error occurs.

I had a problem a couple of versions back where I did not get the iSeries Error
List to pop up. When this happened, I had to go to the iSeries IFS and delete
some log files from my home directory. The directory location for me was:

        Root > home > MYUSRPRF > .eclipse > RSE

You would need to substitute your iSeries user profile for MYUSRPRF. The words
Root and home are literal names. I cleared all log files in the RSE directory
and would then get my iSeries Error List view to pop up.

Steve,

If you select Verify Connection from the popup on iSeries Objects, it will
check if you are missing some PTFs on your iSeries. Batch commands require
a PTF on the iSeries to be installed.

Forgot about that sort of stuff. I think there's a recommendation,
especially in a multi developer shop, to have developers have their own
work library. And do a CHGUSRPRF CURLIB(thatlib). All of our developers
have a library named the same as their ID.

occurs.

I had a problem a couple of versions back where I did not get the iSeries
Error List to pop up. When this happened, I had to go to the iSeries IFS
and delete some log files from my home directory. The directory location
for me was:

                 Root > home > MYUSRPRF > .eclipse > RSE

You would need to substitute your iSeries user profile for MYUSRPRF. The
words Root and home are literal names. I cleared all log files in the RSE
directory and would then get my iSeries Error List view to pop up.
