SSL is a loose term.  It sounds like you are thinking all traffic is going 
to work over the https (443) port.  If WDSC added support for SSL, most 
likely it would be using the SSL ports for jt400.

I believe that jt400 also supports the concept of a proxy server so that 
all traffic can flow through one port.  It sounds like that would also be 
something you need.
