To install the update select Help > Software Updates > New Updates from the workbench menu. This update contains only one fix for a memory leak in the RSE caching. This affects anyone who uses the RPG or COBOL program verifiers or the RPG outline view. This update is a good example of why we need you to report any problems you find when using WDSc through the official support channels. In this case,. the original problem was reported from a customer who had the workbench crash after refreshing the outline view 3 or 4 times (because of the memory leak the workbench was running out of memory.) We were able to work with the customer, reproduce the problem and get this fix out to everyone. Often the people on this list are too forgiving of WDSc, blaming problems on the operating system, the open source eclipse workbench or any of the other components that make up WDSc. IBM does support WDSc as a product and as such we need you to report problems (regardless of which part of WDSc the problem may actually exist in) so that we can get them fixed and everyone can benefit. Thanks.
