OK - we have a solution. Turns out the problem had nothing to do with the JVM version. The PCs in question were set up so that the Users were "Restricted Users" - this was done apparently to prevent them from installing any software. For some perverse reason, being a restricted user causes some WDSC functions to fail!!! Changing them to Power Users instantly cured the problems. I won't comment on my opinion of software manufacturers who build software that rely on things that the software itself doesn't test for! There are now a group of users who instead of being thrilled with their new tool are now concerned at what else will make it blow up! Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
