Paul, If you have the WAS 5.0 test environment installed that should work for you as that still uses JDK1.3. 5.1 uses JDK1.4 cheers Colin.W http://as400blog.blogspot.com Extension 5800 Direct dial 0870 429 5800 -----Original Message----- From: Paul Nicolay [mailto:Paul.Nicolay@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 01 December 2004 09:48 To: Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver not supported on 5.1.2 ? Collib, I wasn't using the bridge for production (since that's DB2 on iSeries) but for development and local testing. MS-Access is easy to use and maintain tables, and I was even amazed how common some SQL syntax was between both. Since I migrated to WDSC 5.1.2 I can no longer test locally on my PC which was a surprise (which I slow start to understand, however Joe still confirmed it worked for him ?). Guess I either need to look for a specific Access JDBC driver like someone else suggested... or switch to mySQL for example. Guess I will be taking the last solution... I already lost to much time with this. Paul, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the classes in packages that start with sun.* are unsupported and are not really intended for production use as they may be dropped at any time, so you might want to check that out I believe WAS 5.1 uses jdk 1.4 cheers Colin.W http://as400blog.blogspot.com Extension 5800 Direct dial 0870 429 5800 _______________________________________________ This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
