It's quite a while since I tried the plugin, so I'm probably out of date. The one I tried kind of assumed you were also running Affiniti, and I had to get help from Support to make it work, and they had to get help from the developers. I also never did find a way to change my password when it expired, so each time I started WDSC I had to put in a password just for Aldon. I finally got rid of it. I'll have to look into it again as time permits, thought it seems crucial to me that to be effective it also return the error messages the same was RSE does now if you just do a straight compile. You shouldn't have to go work with spool files to find compile errors. It looks like I'm slated for some system testing and won't be doing much development for a couple of months, so maybe I'll wait until 7.3 comes out. Did Aldon send you any notification of the upgraded plugin? I don't recall hearing anything from them.
