Thanks for the input Don, I tried your suggestions, in the order you specified and still got RNF0401. I then went into the RSE preferences and re-applied the default settings for; 1) Communications (to not start the RSE comm daemon on workbench startup); 2) iSeries - (de-selected option to run RSE comm server on remote system); 3) iSeries - cache - (de-selected caching and clicked button to clear the current cache); 4) iSeries program verifer (de-selected refresh cache). I had tried changing these settings when the verify stopped working. Restoring the defaults to items 1-4 above, and shutting down wdsc and restarting, with the RSE tree collapsed seemed to have worked as the verify is now successful.
