All, I'm investigating running WDSCi on a later JVM (so I can get round the firewall problems....) So far I've followed the adivce here : http://www.midrangeserver.com/mgo/mgo110703-story02.html <http://www.midrangeserver.com/mgo/mgo110703-story02.html> Essentially it's: 1) Remove the VMArgs=-Xj9 line from wdsc.ini 2) Use the -vm option on the WDSC shortcut to point to the new jvm. This works, but (theres always a but): The .ini file change affects every WDSC workspace, so none of them will now use the correct J9 JVM by default. But to use the new JVM I have to change every shortcut to add a -vm option. I have a lot of shortcuts, each pointing to a different workspace using the -data option. Do I have to change them all? Alternatively can I specify a new JVM in the .ini file - there doesn't seem to be any documentation for what can go in here - is there a VM option? Worse, if I want to use the new JVM for only some workspaces, do I now have to go round all the other shortcuts to add back the -Xj9 option? Confused, Chris. =======DISCLAIMER======= This email transmission and any attachments may contain confidential information which is legally privileged.
