David, You mentioned below that you are using Citrix. Is WDSc installed on your local PC or is it installed on the Citrix server? Is the 5250 emulator installed on your local PC or the Citrix server? We don't install the computers ourselfs so i do not exactly know if i have VPN software installed. We use "On Command" to distribute fixes and patches over the network. Furter more we use a Citrix client and Sophos antivirus. What does it have to do with the problem here? Know issues? -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Don Yantzi Sent: vrijdag 6 augustus 2004 15:27 To: Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Subject: RE: [WDSCI-L] more info on rse-server not working, joblogs David, Do you have any firewall software or VPN software installed on the new ThinkCentre? Which Windows OS version are you using? I also tried using my IP adres in the command but that doesn't make a difference. After the SOCKET ERROR the deamon in Websphere has stopped. Probably crashed or something. I can easily restart it, but that's not the problem. I don't think I can do anything to resolve this problem. I've tried all the basic stuff (reinstall, different machines) but it didn't work. Funny thing is... I used to work on a HP Vectra and everything was just fine, now I'm working on an IBM ThinkCentre and it's giving me a headache. Pffff. Typical. -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces+david.schouten=pinkroccade.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces+david.schouten=pinkroccade.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Don Yantzi Sent: vrijdag 6 augustus 2004 15:08 To: Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] more info on rse-server not working, joblogs David, Do you have any problems using the RSE to connect, resolve filters and edit members without running the STRRSESVR command? For the name parameter on STRRSESVR you are entering the RSE connection name as it appears in the tree and not the hostname right? Have you tried entering the PC's IP address in the RMTLOCNAME parameter? Still no solution, the problem is becoming very complicated. I don't have a support line to IBM myself. Maybe our admin's from the iSeries. But I have to know if the problem is win2k or iSeries first. _______________________________________________ This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
