Welcome to the brave new world of remote desktop management.  I had a
similar problem a few months back where someone changed all desktops to use
a http proxy (for site blocker), which denied any attempts to access help in
WDSCi.  Bummer...

Someone installed a firewall on your PC and didn't tell you?!?  How long
were you fighting this problem?  (I remember you saying "beyond frustration"
or somesuch.)  I think I'd arrange for a "private meeting".
