Currently, there is no way to add additional variables. You can also set up
your compile command through user defined actions which has more of these
variables. Right click on iSeries Objects, select Work With->User
Actions... to set up your own action.

The variable I need is not in that list. I need to be able to pass TYPE
into a compile string for a special compile option that we have setup on
our
400. Is there somewhere where I can setup additional variables?

Thanks!

Hi, one way to list substitution variables is to use the Work With Compile
Commands dialog (right click on iSeries Objects, select Work With ->
Compile Commands... ). In the Command textbox type in '&'. This will
automatically popup a list of substitution variables. If it goes away, you
can press Ctrl + Space after the '&' to bring up the list again.

Cheers,
