I think it'd be good not to have options like this visible in the HTML. Anyone can see it by viewing the source, right? A curious user could learn more than you might want learned. That's why I like the suggestion of keeping things in the JOBD with distinct library lists - it's transparent, the user can't easily discern the reality of what's going on, is not even able to try to take an alternate path.
