Charles, I run WDSC on a 256mb 600Mhz laptop, and it is acceptable, unless im running WAS test environment, which really slows it down. for RPG development, I never use LPEX, as it seems to be fairly hungry, I still use CODE400. At work I use a 2.2Ghz XP box with 1Gb of RAM, which runs ok most of the time, but still locks up occaisonally. cheers Colin.W ----- Original Message ----- From: <CWilt@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, May 27, 2004 4:04 PM Subject: [WDSCI-L] WDSc workstation requirements > What is with the IBM requirements for WDSc? > > According to the website, for server development (RPG I assume) you only > need a Pentium II processor and 256MB or RAM. > > >From personal experience and discussions on this list, that is way, way low > to actually use WDSc. > > It seems that the consensus is 512 or RAM minimum and 1024 if you can get > it. > > What about CPU?
