RSE Connection shows no subsystems

This is a fresh install of WDSCi 5.0 with 5.0.1 applied.  My first connection 
to our V5R2 dev system does not expand to show any subsystems.  Connection 
status in the "Properties" pane says "No subsystems connected".

What do I need to do to connect RSE?  The help does not have any examples where 
there are no subsystems connected.
