Not Saving Source Members

We are getting ready to install a brand new system complete with V5R2
(currently at V4R1).  As part of that process I have installed WDSC 5.1 on
my Windows XP PC with all the updates.  Using the "Remote Systems"
perspective, I have created some filters that point to source files I use.
When I edit a member from one of those source files the changes are not
saved even though the member is locked on the system.  The "Save As" works,
though.  The manual has provided no clues.  I have "Work Offline"
deactivated and caching is turned off.  

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
